Founded in 1994 by award-winning artist Patrick McDonnell, MUTTS is an internationally syndicated comic strip appearing in more than 700 newspapers across 20+ countries. It’s also an animal-friendly lifestyle brand with a vibrant community of nearly half a million online followers — and a proud member of 1% for the Planet.

As the lead content strategist for MUTTS.com, I guided a small but extraordinary team of social media specialists, designers, and copywriters to hone the brand’s online identity and deepen its connection with readers. I helped manage collaborations with nonprofits like the Jane Goodall Institute, the Petco Foundation, and the Humane Society International. I also provided styled product photography and crafted copy for emails, paid and organic social media, product designs and packaging, and website landing pages and PDPs.

Across every digital touchpoint, MUTTS strives to communicate kindness, gentle humor, and a commitment to animals and the people who care for them. To convey these values through email, my team used inviting photography and fonts, “warm and fuzzy” messaging, and pen-and-ink doodles borrowed from the beloved comic strip itself.
